about

In using songwriting to process my own experiences and fear with loss, I realized this artistic outlet could also be used for others experiencing the same. This 2021 collection of songs involve people from across Canada who have either lost a loved one, or were at the end-of-life at the time their song was written.

Designed for individuals nearing the end of their lives and for those who have lost loved ones, The Legacy Song Project is an invitation to honour, reflect on, and preserve the memory of a loved one in song.

No musical experience is needed to participate. It starts with a 1-hour conversation in which real people's stories about their lives or the lives of their lost loved one becomes the foundation for an original song.
